It is with sadness that the family of Rita M. Farwell of Port au Choix, NL announces her passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Center Port Saunders, on Monday August 27th at the great age of 99 years. She leaves to mourn a special niece Doris Hamlyn, niece Juanita (Trevor) Payne; great nieces and nephews, Glen, Jamie (Collette), Blaine (Cindy), Blaire (Heather), Glenn (Cathy), Joann (Murray); brother-in-law Roland (Nina) Farwell; sisters-in-law, Millicent Billard, Sadie Farwell and a great number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by husband John (Jack) Farwell; parents Margaret and Joseph Breton; sisters, Georgina, Mildred, Bertha, Alma and her brother Eugene. Visitation was held at St. Theresa’s RC Church Port au Choix Tuesday 7-9 pm and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm with a funeral service on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 11:00 am with Father R. Rossi officiating followed by interment in Sandy Cove Interfaith Cemetery, Port Saunders. In Memoriam donations may be made to St. Theresa’s Church.
