Passed peacefully away at the Labrador West Medical Centre surrounded by family and friends, Margaret Regina O’Brien, at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by her partner Joseph Smith, father Michael Moore, mother Theresa Moore (Hawkins), sisters Ida Kinsella and Lillian Walsh, and brother Patrick Moore. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her children: Linda Barron (Wayne) Wabush, NL; Gary O’Brien (Diane) Goose Bay, NL; Brenda Coombs (Kevin) Sparwood, BC; Kim Conway (Paul) Labrador City, NL and Corey Smith (Pam) Labrador City, NL; her sisters Mary Hynes (Gerald) Ferryland, NL and Catherine Ryan (Pat) Mount Pearl, NL. Margie also leaves behind her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the LW Medical Centre for the exceptional care they provided to our mom over the past 4 ½ years. Visitation will take place at Penney’s Funeral Home on Sunday, September 23rd from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Labrador City on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at the Labrador City Cemetery. Flowers or donations to one’s choice are being accepted.
