We, the family, are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Yvonne Marie ‘Rose’ Lee (nee Richardson) on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Cobequid Health Centre, Lower Sackville.
Born May 8, 1948, in Sydney, she was the daughter of Mary Richardson and the late Clarence Richardson.
Rose will be deeply missed by her husband, Wilfred Lee; sons, Stephen (Terryanne) Burns, Glen (Joanne) Burns and Keith Burns; grandchildren, BJ, Connor and Colton Burns; stepchildren, Denise (Gerry) Toner and James (Erinn) Lee; step-grandchildren, Andrew and Zach Toner; mother, Mary Richardson; brothers and sisters, Jim (Elizabeth) Richardson, Bill (Suzanne) Richardson, Jane (Nick) Doran, Sandra (Bill Gosling) Richardson, Donnie (Debbie) Richardson, Carol (Darrin) Ley and Ernie (Karen) Bernasky; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Michael Burns; brother, Leonard Richardson; and father, Clarence Richardson.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday 11 a.m., with Rev. Robert Hussey officiating. Interment in Zion Cemetery.
Rose was a breast cancer survivor, therefore, the family wishes that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
