It is with great sadness the family announce the sudden passing of Stephen MacFadden, loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother on Monday, May 23, 2011.
Born in North Sydney, Stephen was the son of Gordon and Joan (Bagnell) MacFadden of Georges River.
Steve was co-owner and operator of Greg & Steve’s Auto Repair on King Street, North Sydney. His dedication and passion for the auto service industry led to his 35-year career as a Red Seal auto technician which included over 25 years with his business partner Greg Taylor.
Steve enjoyed camping and spending time with family and camping friends, especially close friends Lori and Bobby. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Besides his parents, Joan and Gordon, he is survived by his wife, Frances (McKinnon); his daughter, Valerie (Rickey) Targett and his son, Michael; his two grandchildren, Logan and Bailea; his brother, Brian MacFadden (Sharon) and sister, Brenda MacFadden (Darren) and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. A private family service will be held under the direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
Memorial donations may be made to the Northside Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice.
