We, the family of the late Maxine Marie Young wish to extend our sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to everyone during our recent bereavement. Maxine's funeral service was celebrated at St. Stephen's Church, Florence on Aug 5, 2009 with Fr. Thomas John officiating. Pallbearers were brothers-in-law, Glen Gear, Paul Smith, Jamie Swain and Ronnie Ivey, nephew, William Paul Smith and friend Allan Kehoe. Thank you to David Murray, St. Stephens's Church choir, readers, nieces Mayannda and Jamie-Nora Swain and all who helped celebrate the mass for Maxine. Thank you to the Ladies of Branch 83 Florence Legion for the lovely luncheon. Thank you to all our relatives, neighbors and friends for the phone calls, who brought food to hour homes, sympathy cards, mass offerings, donations, flowers, online condolences and attended the visitation and funeral. Thank you to the EMS, the doctors and nurse who cared for Maxine during her illness, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, CCU, Palliative care units and cancer treatment center. Thank you to the staff at J.M Jobes Funeral Home for their help and professionalism. Thank you to piper Lynn Brooks who played “Amazing Grace†at the private graveside burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bras d'Or Aug 7, 2009. To each and everyone that helped during his difficult time May God Bless You All. Max, you'll be forever in our hearts.
