Wostradowski, Adam John
Passed away on Sunday, August 23rd, 2009 at the age of 92. Adam, beloved husband of Lillian for over 56 years, loving father of Karen Radu, David (Renee), Wade (Merry) and Mark, cherished grandfather of Jesse (Laura), Josh (Marissa), Jay, Laura and Nicole. Adam was born in the Bayard district on December 23rd, 1916. He attended Hapsburg school, worked on several farms in the area and at the Claybank Brick Plant. Adam served overseas with the South Saskatchewan Regiment, serving in France, Germany, Holland and Belgium, returning home in 1945. He farmed for several more years following the war also working part time again at the Claybank Brick Plant. Adam and Lillian Anderson were married in 1952. The family moved to Moose Jaw in 1956 where Adam worked diligently at the Providence Hospital for over 25 years. Adam will be fondly remembered by his sisters Theresa Hicke and Gertrude (Zack) Hicke, by his sisters-in-law Grace and Rose Wostradowski and by his many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his Parents, one sister and five brothers. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009 at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St. W. Moose Jaw, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the new veterans' section at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Moose Jaw Union Hospital Auxiliary would be appreciated.
