Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on May 21st, 2011 John D. Smith, age 81 years, just 4 days after his loving wife and best friend Jean. Also predeceased by parents Caroline and William Smith, infant daughter, brothers Gordon, Charlie, Willy, Roy, Reg, Wally, Sid, Val, sister Annie. Left with fond and loving memories are his son John David (Doreen) of Gander, Sharon (Paul) Fudge of Gander, Ivy Smith of St. John’s, Shana (John) Reside of Ottawa. Cherished sister Ivy and sister-in-law Bernice, grandchildren Jenny and Shane Fudge, Stephanie (Dan) Lidstone, Michael McDonald, Travis and Jordan Reside. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral service was held Monday, May 23rd from St. Martin’s Anglican Cathedral followed by Internment at All Saints Cemetery.
