We regret to announce the passing of Violet Pye on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, with her family by her side.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late Orlando and Ida (Jenkins) Bugden.
She was a faithful member of Trinity Anglican Church, and former member of the ACW.
She is survived by her children, Sue (Dale) MacKeigan, Halifax, Ann (Jim) Galpin, Fredericton, Graham (Joella), Celeste and Raymond (Jean); grandchildren, Wayne and David MacKeigan, Stephen and Trevor Galpin, Derek and Marc Pye, Mitchell and Maddison Pye; great-grandson, Colby Pye; and her sister, Annabelle Knight.
Besides her parents, Violet was predeceased by her husband, Fred Pye, four brothers, three sisters, and granddaughter Annette Galpin.
There will be no visitation by her request. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2011, at Trinity Anglican Church, Queen Street, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Stacey Lemoine officiating. Interment will be in Tobin Road Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
Donations in Violet’s memory may be made to Trinity Anglican Church, or a charity of one’s choice.
