NICKERSON, Modena Maye – 100, With deepest sorrow the family announces the passing of our loved one, Modena Maye Nickerson, on October 2, 2018 at Bay Side Home, Barrington. She was born at South Side on February 15, 1918 and regarded the village to be her home. For the past eight years she had resided at Bay Side Home in Barrington. She was modest, caring and committed to her family and friends. She is survived by three daughters, Ellen (Edward) Goodwin, Patricia (Vernon) Schnare, Brenda (Ralph) Flemming; son, Lee (Phyllis) Nickerson; two granddaughters; four grandsons; two great granddaughters; three great grandsons; two great great granddaughters; four great great grandsons – Four generations of love. There was a visitation Friday, 7-9 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, where the funeral service was held on Saturday October 6, 2 p.m., with Pastor Luuk Geerligs officiating. Interment followed in the White Lily Cemetery, South Side. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
