Eugene Jessome

The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I., on May 24, 2011 of Eugene Jessome of Borden, aged 75 years.
Eugene was born on Feb. 16, 1936 in Albion, P.E.I., to his late parents, Ambrose and Eugenia (nee O’Connor) Jesso. He was the last surviving member of his family.
Beloved husband of Genevieve (nee Giddings), loving father of Anna Marie (Lawrence Lynch); Patrick (Patricia); Sherri Lynn (Wade Lavoie) and Shawn (Crystal). Special “Grandpa” to Jennafer, Marissa (David Jordan) and Sara-Jane Lynch; Nicholas and Jonathan Jessome; Madison and Jorden Jessome and very special great-grandpa to Noah Lynch. He is survived by sisters-in-law Mary Jesso and Jean (Jesso) MacMaster, brothers-in-law Jim (Marcia) Giddings; Frank Giddings; Gerard (Carol) Giddings and John (Jean) Giddings and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Eugene was predeceased by his brothers, Alban, Cecil, William and Vincent (infancy) and sister, Eunice Hastings; mother and fathers-in-law Mary (MacCormack) Giddings-Kennedy, Patrick Giddings and George Kennedy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Madeline Jesso; Nora Giddings, Lorraine Giddings; Alvin Hastings and Rev. Patrick Giddings.
Resting at the Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora, until Saturday, May 28, then to St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to take place at the parish cemetery.
Visiting hours on Friday, 6 to 9 p.m. only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eugene’s memory to the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund or St. Peter’s Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
Members of the Dr. W. E. Monaghan Council of the Knights of Columbus, Seven Mile Bay, and other Island Councils will say prayers at the funeral home on Friday evening at 9 p.m.
