We are sad to announce the passing of Elinor Whitty, age 65, of Dartmouth, NS, on October 15, 2018, in Dartmouth.
Born in Sydney, NS, she was a daughter of the late George and Effie (Morrison) Whitty.
She is survived by her son, Edward "Ted" (Ashley) Cooper, Kitchener; daughter, Kate Cooper, Kitchener; grandchildren, Jack and Jonah Cooper; siblings, Donald (Helen), Arlen (Lena), Janet (Walter), Marian (Peter), Ethel (Colin) and Gerard, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Service following at 4:30 at C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish. A private family burial will take place in Stewartdale Cemetery, Whycocomagh, at a later date.
