STELLARTON - It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Myrtle C. Terris, 88, of Hudson Street, Stellarton, which occurred on Wednesday, August 26th, 2009 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born on March 2nd, 1921 in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Campbell) Trott.
Myrtle was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her husband, Lawson, Veteran’s Wing, Sutherland Memorial, Pictou; son, Steven Terris, Dryden, ON; daughters, Brenda (Dan Grant), Stellarton; Nancy, Stellarton; Eva (Hal Murrell), Union Centre; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
She was predeceased by sons, Lawson “Bugs” and Peter Terris; brothers: Albert, Hiram, James and Pete; sisters: Mary Whitewood, Emma Myers, Carrie Heighton, Margaret Marsh, Annie Lowry, Patty Wyse and Connie Fitt; daughters-in-law, Diane Terris, Dryden, ON; Paulette Terris, Stellarton.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton, with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Myrtle may be made to the Christ Anglican Church.
