Alexander Thomas Williams, passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2018 in his 83rd year. Predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and John Williams, sister Eileen Williams, and parents-in-law Dorothy and Joseph Hynes. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 60 years Betty, his children Paul (Ann), Barry (Annette), Jacqueline (Mike Kunkel) and Janet (Bart Leung), ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, sister Florence Gosse (Chess dec.), brother-in-law Barry Hynes (Pauline), sisters-in-law Ruby Dick (Frank dec.), Rowena Hynes (Ivan dec.), and Loraine Upwards (Eric) and a large number of nieces, nephews and close friends. Alex took great joy and pride in spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren - Alisha (Kyle), Matthew, Mark (Melissa), Greg (Kayla), Ashley, Joseph, Alex, Meagan (Mitchell), Adam and Josh, and his great-grandchild Reese. A very special thanks to Dr. David Jones, Yvonne Gulliver, and the staff of 4NA and the Ambulatory Treatment Unit of the Health Sciences Centre for the quality and highly personalized care he received while fighting his illness and who were instrumental in allowing Alex to continue to enjoy a high quality of life during these past two years. Visitation will be at Barrett’s funeral home (328 Hamilton Ave.) on Thursday November 1st from 12:00 noon until 9:00 PM. Funeral will take place on Friday November 2nd at 2:00 PM from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Goulds, Interment to follow. Alex spent all of his 82 years living around Forest Pond in the Goulds where in recent years he could often be found sitting on the front deck enjoying the peace and the view of the pond with the company of family and so many wonderful friends by his side who regularly dropped in for a visit.

He will be missed by all.
