Smith, Melbourne A. The death of Melbourne Smith of Saint john, NB, occured on Thursady, May 19,2011 at his residence. Born in Saint John on May 16, 1931, he was a son of the late Sterling and Josephine (Johnston) Smith. He is survived by his children, Melbourne Smith of Saint John; Claude Smith of Browns Flat; Clayton Smith of Saint John; Rose Smith (William Landry) of Saint john; Timothy Smith of Saint John; Clinton Smith of Saskatchewan; Joane Smith of Saint John; Mary Ann Smith of Saint john and Paula Smith of Martinon; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In keeping with Melbourne's wishes there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
