With family, peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, May 26, 2011, of Leona Clements of North River Road, Charlottetown, aged 81.
Beloved wife of George W. Clements (married 63 years), and loving mother of son Gordon (Linda Cheverie), daughter Linda, and the late son Wilfred (in infancy) and daughter Deborah (young age). Grandmother to Kelly (Earl), Katie (Quiel), Jessica (Juan), Nicholas (Vanessa), Ancelene and Roark. Great-grandmother to Ben, Bill, Hannah, Claudia, Paloma, Isaac and Joaquin (due in August). Many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in-law.
Leona was born on May 3, 1930, Duvar Road, P.E.I., to her late parents, Frank and Anceline (nee Gallant) Richard. The youngest of six sisters: Olive (late Jack) Stewart; and the late sisters: Marie; Obeline (late Gerard) Richard; Rose (late Jim) Callan; and Josephine (late Adrien) Pineau.
Leona always had a good sense of humor and a quiet demeanor. She was a very generous and loving woman who always put her family first. She will be greatly missed.
Cremation has taken place. No visiting hours or funeral service by family request.
