CARD OF THANKS
Corena Theresa Haley

In the midst of grief, it is the kindness and compassion of others that help lessen the burden. There are no words that can express my gratitude and love toward the many people who were there to offer comfort and support during this difficult time. It was a source of strength to know that in my time of need there were so many who cared.
To Dr. Elizabeth McCormick and Amanda, thank you for many years of compassionate and professional care and for your genuine fondness of my mother. You were always there when we needed you. To the wonderful nursing staff from 5 East at the Northside General Hospital, thank you for making her last days on earth as comfortable as possible; it helped to know she was being looked after by people who genuinely cared. To J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, thank you for your assistance in making arrangements; your efficiency and professionalism helped lessen the burden at this difficult time. Thank you as well to Ann Marie Gillis and Daryl Burton, members of the Holy Family Parish Bereavement Team who helped make arrangements for the Funeral Mass in the comfort of my home; your sensitivity and compassion made the job easier.
To Fr. Bedford Doucette, Fr. James Oliver, Fr. Leo Cordeau, Fr. J. J. MacDonald, and Deacon Greg Murphy, your participation in the Mass of Christian Burial was such a comfort to me; thank you for being there. To Fr. Oliver as well, I thank you for your prayers and visit to the hospital. To all those who participated in the liturgy in any way, the servers, (Cecil Snow, Reg Dolhanty, and Sheila MacCormick); the readers, (Michele Keeling and Lorena Capstick); the gift bearers, (Jennie Gordon and Linda Campbell); and the music ministers, (Carol Ann Power, Alan Gale, and the Choir), your contributions to the service made it a reverent and prayerful celebration, thank you so much. Thank you to the ladies of the CWL for donating their time and baking skills to provide a much-appreciated lunch following the Mass. To the many kind and thoughtful friends, neighbours and relatives who called, visited, brought food, sent flowers, sympathy cards, Mass cards, memorial enrolments, on-line condolences and donations, thank you from the bottom of my heart. To Linda, Eric, and Joan you were my rock; you were there every step of the way and you will always have a special place in my heart. Mom hoped you would be there for me and she got her wish. To each and every one who touched my life during this time, your kindness was deeply felt and appreciated. May every mark of affection and every gesture of friendship that you give others be a sign of God’s peace for you.

With love and gratitude,
Sandra
