Committal Service to take place Sunday, September 6 at 2:00 p.m. in Bethany United Church Cemetery, Church Street, Carbonear, led by Rev. Stephen Matthews. Reception to follow at 2:30 p.m. in The Merchant’s Manor, 152 Water Street. Born in Carbonear, eldest child of the late James and Kathleen (Forward) Rorke, Pat died August 11, 2008, in Halifax, NS. She is survived by her daughter, Lois Kathleen Yvonne Yorke (Halifax); grandsons, James Douglas Kernaghan (Halifax) and John Edward Kernaghan (Toronto); and son-in-law, Barry Cahill. The last surviving member of her family, Pat specifically requested that her ashes be returned to Carbonear and interred in the family plot.
