Passed peacefully away on November 19, 2018 at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, Mary Spracklin, aged 94 years. Predeceased by her parents Mark and Jane Butt of Winterbrook, Bonavista Bay; husband Lewis Spracklin; daughter Joy; brothers Avalon and Dorman; sisters Maude and Edna and stepsons Malcolm and Cal. Leaving to mourn Ruth (Texas), Ruth (Malcolm), Joan, Daphne, Ralph (Sherry) and Lorraine (Cal); also, a large number of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends. Especially close to Mary were Sadie Barbour, Vera Hewitt and her friends at the St. John’s Gospel Hall. Many thanks to the staff of Cambridge Estates and Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, where Mary resided. Also, a special thank you to Mary’s friend, June, for her care, compassion, friendship and support. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Wednesday November 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday November 22 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
