November 26, 1947 – August 22, 2009, George Hynes, beloved husband of Anne-Marie, passed away in the presence of his family on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the age of 61 years. George was born in Terrenceville, NL. He and Anne- Marie moved to Alberta in 1978. George will be remembered for his strength of character, his quirky sense of humour, and his golf game. He was our constant, our anchor, and the rock of our family. He was well-respected for his great work ethic and was highly esteemed by his coworkers. He will be forever in our hearts. Besides his wife Anne-Marie, George is also survived by his children, Jenna, Gillian, and Michael; parents, Joseph and Theresa Hynes; three brothers, Pius (Isabel), Joseph (Melita), Stan (Rhona); and four sisters, Rebecca (Gus Hickey), Mary (Peter Blum), Theresa Power (Max Rodway), and Christina Hynes (Clarence Banfield). George was predeceased by his brother Norman.
