1940-2009– Passed peacefully at the Placentia Health Centre on August 27th, 2009 at the age of 69. Predeceased by his parents: Clem and Bride (nee Dormody) Kelly; also by his Brothers and Sisters, Peter, James, Angela, Ned, Mary, Joan and Clem. Mourning his loss, his wife Mary (nee Bruce) and his son Cory; his sister Florence (Jim–predeceased), his brother Brian (Anna), nieces, nephews, members and extended of both the Kelly and Bruce families and a great circle of dear friends. Mary and Cory extend gratitude and thanks to the staff of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital and Placentia Health Centre for their kindness, compassion and professionalism; to the Kelly and Bruce families for their support and love over the past year; and to Eugene’s friends and the community of Freshwater, Placentia Bay. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia, visitation scheduled on Saturday, August 29th from 2-5 and 7-9 and Sunday, August 30th from 2-5 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial at the Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater, Placentia Bay on Monday August 31st at 11 am.
