With heartfelt sadness we regret to announce the death of our dear aunt Rose MacIsaac on August 29, 2009 at home with her niece, with whom she resided, these last four years. Born in Mulgrave N.S. she was the daughter of the late John Jack and Florence Rose (DeCoste) MacDonald.
Rose was a member of St. Lawrence’s Parish, Mulgrave. She is survived by her special niece Pam and husband Randy; sisters Ella Mae Brophy, Mulgrave; Clarissa (Howie) Goetz, Guelph Ontario; brothers Hank MacDonald, Clarence (Dora) MacDonald both of Auld’s Cove; Alphonse (Pat) MacDonald; Ontario. Also left to mourn are numerous nieces and nephews, including Gloria Grady and Great – Great niece Vera Lynn whom she looked forward to seeing every Sunday. She was predeceased by her Husband Earl MacIsaac; sisters Jean Keleher, Guelph, Ontario; Gertrude MacLean, Calgary, Alberta; Hilda Duff, North Sydney; brothers; John Mac Donald, Stellarton; Joseph MacDonald, Guelph.
From a very young age , she acquired a strong work ethic , starting in a little candy store, from there she worked in several different stores in the Strait Area. In her younger years Rose enjoyed participating in musical gatherings with her siblings. Rose and Earl enjoyed to travel; Rose enjoyed a good game of cards, spending time at the Casino with her Sisters and dining out. Rose had a passion for Bingo and rarely missed a game; she had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for her sharp wit and enjoyed a good laugh. We will miss Rose dearly. Resting in the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place Monday and Tuesday from 2-9 p.m.. Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday at 11 a.m. from St. Lawrence Church, Mulgrave with Rev. Allan MacPhie presiding; burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place or St. Lawrence Cemetery Fund.
