The death occurred suddenly at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, of Darcy J. Butler of Alberton aged 32 years. He was born in O’Leary on Nov. 13, 1976, to his parents, Eileen (nee Allain) and the late Maurice Butler, St. Edward, stepfather Wendell Harper. Daughters Katie Jo add Destiny.. He is survived by a special friend, Lisa MacLean, a son, Riley, and a daughter, Katie Jo. Dear brother to Troy (Rachel), St. Edward, Dwayne (Johanna), Tignish, Cheryl (Darren) LeClair, Elmsdale, Ruby Rushton, Summerside, and Billy (Breanne) Harper, Corner Brook, N.L., as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Maurice, brother, Rodney, grandparents, Joseph and Susan Allain and George and Winnifred Butler. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Funeral will be held Tuesday with funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, at 4 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to a trust fund for Riley and Katie Jo would be greatly appreciated.
