GOLLOP, Helen (nee Wheeler)– Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Miller Centre on Monday, November 10, 2008, Helen Gollop, aged 83 years. Predeceased by her husband Gordon Francis Sr., father and mother: Charles and Ethel Wheeler; sisters: Lillian Evans and Pearl Murphy; brothers: Heber, Victor and James Wheeler. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Matthew (Maxine), Gordon (Dianne), Clarence (Ruby), Calvin (Debbie), James (Elizabeth), Richard (Ruth), Marshall (Mary Lou), Kenneth, Michelle, Barbara, Florence Williams (John), Linda Dyke (Gerald) and Ruth Vincent (Keith); 30 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; sister Florence Tucker and family; brother Clarence Wheeler; sisters-in-law: Myrtle King, Frances Wheeler and Zenith Gollop; brothers-in-law: William Ryan and Mike Murphy; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral service to be held from Gower Street United Church on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
