Passed away tragically while engaged in his favorite hobby, berry picking on August 27, 2009 at the age of 59 years. Gerald’s passion in his life was his family. He is predeceased by his father, Llewellyn Smith, father-in-law, Stephen Hobbs, mother-in-law, Dorothy Hobbs, and sister-in-law, Dianne Noseworthy. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are his loving wife, Susie, son Tommy, Newmarket, Ont. Daughter, Stephanie Piercey (Josh). Grandchildren, Albert, Aaren, Abigail and Nathan. Mother; Marion Smith, sister Fronie Warren (Angus) brothers, Larry (Cynthia), Edward (Minnie), sister-in-law Nina Morgan (Arthur), uncles Robert J. Smith, Arthur Parsons, aunt Dorcas Smith, and a large circle of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation Monday, August 31, 2 to 9:30 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service will take place at 2:30 p.m. from Bethel United Church, Norman’s Cove. Donations will be gratefully accepted.
