LÉGER, BERNARD - It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Bernard Léger, 55, of Moncton, on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at The Moncton Hospital. Born January 21, 1956 in Bouctouche, he was the son of Aline (MacDonald) and the late Yvon Léger. Bernard was an avid walker, and enjoyed working out and swimming at the YMCA. He will be remembered as a man who not only saw reality as it was, but kept smiling and enjoying the simple things life has to offer. Besides his mother, Aline Melanson, he will be sadly missed by his sister Ginette (Serge Clavet), a sister-in-law, Paula Léger; his beloved nieces and nephews: Josée-Aline Gallant (Marc Landry), François Gallant (Tara), Julie, Nathalie, god-daughter Anna-Lisa, Shelby, and Matthew Léger. Besides his father, he is also predeceased by his brother, Claude Léger, his step-father, Laurie Melanson and his step-sister, Lisa Melanson.
The family will receive condolences Wednesday evening, June 1st, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until departure (9:45 a.m.). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church (Parkton) Thursday, June 2nd at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Bernard, a contribution to Mental Health NB would be appreciated.
