GAUDET, NORMA - (June 4, 1944 - May 30, 2011) - Peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones at ProTem Health Services in Moncton. Born in Dingwall, NS, Norma was the daughter of the late Cyril and Annie (Fitzgerald) Smith, the loving mother of Jo-Anne Senneff (John) of Houston, TX. Norma was a nurse at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital before beginning her 30 year teaching career in nursing at NBCC - Moncton where she retired as chief instructor of the Nursing Assistant Program in 2000. She was an honorary member of ANBLPN (Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses) and a former board member of the Alzheimer Society, the Southeast Regional Health Authority and the NANB (Nurses Association of New Brunswick) as well as a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society. She is predeceased by her husband, Edmour (2000), her sister, Marion (late Donald) and her brother, Father William.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Frenette Funeral Home on Thursday June 2, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Norma, a contribution to Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
