Passed away after a courageous battle with a short illness surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the L.A. Miller Centre, age 72 years. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Beatrice; and mother and father–in–law George and Susie Furlong; brothers–in–law Pat Malone, Jim Maddigan and Doug Jackman. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories his loving wife of 23 years Doris (Furlong); sons Ed (Stacey), Jeff (Fiona), Keith; daughters Danielle Gosse (Paul), Jennifer Hunt (Brian) and Jeanette Lalande; precious grandchildren Eden, Marissa, Desmond, Eli Quinn, Xander, Jaxon, Dylan, Danny and Tyler; sisters Patricia Madigan and Pam McCarthy (Moody); special nieces Tina (Danny), Melissa (Andrew); special cousins Geraldine and Dave; brothers–in–law Roland Furlong (Mary), George Furlong (Colleen), Derrick Furlong, Eddie Furlong; sisters–in–law Judy Dunn (Mike), Elizabeth White, Linda Jackman, Debbie Furlong (Barry), Susan Furlong (Ern), Dawn Furlong (David), Florence Furlong (Stuart), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thank you the wonderful nurses and staff at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit and a heartfelt thank you to nurse Elizabeth Murphy – Smith from eastern health for all her compassion and care during Ed’s illness. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. from Mary Queen of the World Parish.
