Eileen passed away peacefully on January 12, 2019 in her 100th year at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. She is survived by her loving son Bill (Donna) as well as her three granddaughters Christine (Adam), Katherine (Rick) and Margaret (Jeff) and her two great-grandsons Jack and Will. Eileen was predeceased by her husband Captain William Ridgley and all her brothers and sisters. Eileen married her childhood sweetheart William late of Little Bay West, Fortune Bay, Newfoundland and they lived in Halifax, N.S. at the time of marriage just after the war. Born in Jersey Harbour, Fortune Bay, Newfoundland the last daughter of the predeceased Skipper Joe Rose and Elizabeth Rose, and sister of Gladys, Ethel, and Marjorie as well as brothers Clyde, Jack, Russell and Reginald. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Newfoundland, Canada and the United States. Many thanks to the palliative care team at St. Peter’s Hospital that took care of Eileen for 28 months before her passing.
