The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, January 18, 2019, of Marcia Myles MacFarlane of Summerside, in her 89th year. Marcia was born on the Isle of Islay, part of the Western Isles of Scotland. Survived by her younger sister Sadie Frame and five nieces in Kingston, Ontario; several nieces and nephews in Scotland; and by her “adopted” grandchildren, Julia, Ian, Graeme and Jane McKillop, of Summerside. Predeceased by her husband Ronald MacFarlane; her parents, Sarah and James Robertson; a brother William Robertson; and by her sisters Mary Currie and Margaret Trespass. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Summerside Presbyterian Church, Summerside, on Friday, February 1, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. No visitation by personal request.
