Michael MacKinnon passed away May 27, 2011.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Michael ‘Micky’ and Kathleen (MacLean) MacKinnon.
He was an industrial mechanic and loved to work on cars.
He is survived by daughter, Shauna MacKinnon; sisters, Kay (Bob) Marler, Monica (John) Boudreau; brother, Joe (Mildred) MacKinnon; grandchildren, Lance, Kyle, Evan, Madison, Kylie, Mary Kate, Anastasia; and nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by daughter, Michelle Florence, sisters, Betty Merriam Laffin, Teresa (Frank) Ransom, Shirley (Duncan) MacKinnon, Roselyn (Wayne) MacDonald, Anne (Sidney) Syvret.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass to celebrate Michael’s life will be held Thursday, June 2 at 10 a.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard’s with Fr. Doug MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
