MILLS, WILLIAM "BILL" - 1929-2011 - Peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, William "Bill" Mills, of Dorchester passed away at the age of 82, with his family by his side. Born in Cape Breton, he was a son of the late Oliver and Lillian (Leblanc) Mills. Bill loved animals of all kinds. An outdoorsman by nature, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren and great granchildren. He will be dearly missed by his wife 63 years, Connie (nee Tower); four daughters, Patricia (Edward) Wilson, ON, Donna Dawson, Dorchester, Carol (Harvey) Saulnier, Dorchester, Paige (Jack) Irving, Dawson Settlement; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd and two sisters, Genesta Wry and Violet Ward; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by a brother, Sidney and a sister Marcella MacQueen.
Bill's remains have been entrusted into the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). His family will welcome visitation from friends and family from 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home on Thursday, June 2, 2011 with a service at 2 pm from the funeral home on Friday, June 3, 2011. Burial will be held at the Dorchester Rural Cemetery following the service. In memory of Bill, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Moncton SPCA. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
