Melvin Thomas Angus Joseph Dennis
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Melvin Thomas Angus Joseph Dennis, age 27, of Eskasoni, announce his passing on February 22, 2019, at his home.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of Mary Catherine (Paul) and the late Clayton Dennis Sr.
Melvin was a person that was fun to be around, always a Jokester, being the comedian, he was and never missing an opportunity to tease someone. He spent his pastime playing 45’s, baseball and gambling.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Alicia Googoo; daughters, Kenaisha and Nikkiah ‘Humpsy’; sons, Jason and David; brothers, Frank, Clayton Jr. (Giselle), Timothy (Melissa), Stuart; foster sister Randee, foster brother Diego; godchildren, Chasity Denny, Duncan Dennis; nephews, Cole, Darius, niece, Norelle and godparents, Sean Ryan Paul and Margie Marshall. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his father, Melvin was predeceased by his brother, Clayton, grandparents, Theodore and Melvina Paul; Frank and Mary Jane Dennis.
Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the family residence at 130 Spencer’s Lane, Eskasoni. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 4, at Holy Family Church with Fr. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in Holy Family Parish Cemetery, Eskasoni.
