Passed peacefully away on May 31, 2011 (29 days before her 93rd birthday) in the presence of her loving family at her daughter’s residence in Flatrock. Predeceased by her husband Harry, her mother Catherine (nee Dodd), her father Cornelius Power; grandson Neil Maynard, son-in-law Raymond Maher, sisters Catherine (William) Lawlor, Elizabeth (Joseph) Martin, Mary (Thomas) Manning, Rebecca (Thomas) Martin, Nell Power; brothers: Maurice (Alice) Power, John (Annie) Power, Cornelius (Sadie) Power, Walter (Marie) Power; her brothers-in-law: Jack (Margaret Maynard), Tom Maynard. Forever cherishing the memories of her love for her family, her faith and music are her eleven children: Joe (Joan), Maureen Maher, David (Cathy Ann), Catherine (Gerald) Edwards, Neil (Debbie), Jim (Joanne), Marion (Dave) McCarthy, Harry (Doreen), Genevieve (Gord) Tucker, Theresa (Howie) Wills, Lillian (Ignatius) Penton; 28 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law Theresa Maynard, as well as a large circle of special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation Thursday 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Friday 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Michael’s Church, Flatrock. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Flatrock. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Mom’s memory may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, Flatrock.
