Passed peacefully away at St. Luke’s Nursing Home June 1st, 2011, age 92 years, formerly of Riverhead, St. Mary’s Bay. Predeceased by parents Edward and Margaret; brothers Ken, Tom and Mike; sister Mary Murray; brothers-in-law Alban Lee and Kevin Power; sisters-in-law Margaret Meaney and Evelyn Meaney. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 55 years Margaret (Hogan); sons: Gerard (Patricia), Ken (Maureen), Paul, Gord; daughter Jackie MacKenzie (Neil); loving grandchildren: Kady, Rhian, Kristen, Colin, Kelly, Marsha, Dylan, Evan, Jessica, Sandee Antle (Blair) and Karen North (Edward); great-grandchildren: Maggie, Jack, Michael and Matthew. Also leaving to mourn brothers: Jerome (Rosemarie) and Eugene (Betty); sisters: Ann Lee, Madeline and Gertrude Power; brothers-in-law: Ed Hogan (Joan), Mike Murray; sister-in-law Maureen Meaney of England; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Many thanks to the staff of St. Luke’s Home for their compassion and care. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Thursday 7-9pm, Friday 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers greatly accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
