Passed away on May 30, 2011, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after a short illness at the age of 82 years. Pat, known by all as Uncle Pat, was a “hands on” caretaker for over three decades in the Mount Carmel community, having served the elementary, the high school, the convent and the parish hall, he was always there with a willing hand all hours of the night and day. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary Ann Wade and sister Catherine (Dobbin) and brothers-in-law, Roger Power, Felix Dobbin and Hubert McGrath. He leaves to mourn sisters, Regina (Power) and Mary (McGrath), both residing in St. John’s. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces: Ann (Squires), Florence (Gregory), Maureen (Hewlett), Mildred (Power), Kathleen (Ivey), Margaret (McQueen), Mary (Miller), Roxanne (McGrath); nephews: Ronald Wade, Patrick Dobbin, Hubert McGrath, Ken McGrath and Kevin McGrath and a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Mount Carmel, St. Mary’s Bay, with visitation on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from noon to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
