The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Thursday June 2, 2011 of Donald R. "Don" Reeves of Kensington aged 78 years. He was born in Summerside on Nov. 12, 1932 son of the late Roy and Bertha (Murray) Reeves. Husband of the late Charlotte T. (Flanagan) Reeves. Loving father of Sarah Dawn MacEwen ( Steven Paynter), Wanda Campbell (Todd Batchelor), David (Connie), Kevin (Janel), Travis (Tammy Ranni) and Tracey (Robbie Farris). Lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and his four-legged companion Jackson. Brother-in-law of Velma Flanagan, Lloyd Flanagan, Darlene (Kevin) Turnbull and Eileen Flanagan. Predeceased by sisters and brothers-in-law Doris and Eric Holmes, Jean and Ralph Owen, Jimmy Flanagan, Harvey Flanagan, Vona Flanagan, Arleen and Richard "Dick" Kelly. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Comrades of Lt. Col. E.W. Johnstone Branch # 9 Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute service at the funeral home Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. If so desired contributions may be made to the Lung Association or the PEI Humane Society.
