Keir (Fitzgerald), Doreen– 1929 - 2008. Deane passed away at the Centre d’hébergement La Pêche, Ste-Cécile-de-Masham, Quebec on Wednesday November 5th, 2008. A former registered nurse, she was born in Trinity East Newfoundland, the youngest daughter of Dr. Conrad T. and Mrs. Emma Fitzgerald. She lived in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Mexico City, Ottawa, and Chelsea. Deane was a force of nature, an inspiration for many, and a strong advocate for justice for children and animals. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ronald Keir, daughters Alexandra (Donna Truesdale), Jennifer (Doug Payne) and Catherine (Sharon MacDonald), and grandchildren, Michael and Darcy Lott, Avril, Jasmine, Brett and Alistair Bundale and Megan and Lesley Payne. There will be a celebration of her life on November 22, 2008 between 2to 4 p.m. at the family home 24 Hollow Glen, Chelsea, Que. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Des Collines Health Foundation 101 ch.
