Lieu de décès : Toronto, Ontario, Canada

It was a sad and heartbreaking day, when a call to home was made. A loving son and devoted dad passed away suddenly leaving his two beautiful girls and loving family with heartfilled memories.
A hard working man born and raised in Park Road, Florence spent his last few years in Toronto with his loving fiancé, Dianne and wonderful companion, Rusty.
As we all knew and loved Da he was a kind, gentle, loving man with such a warm heart. Dad was a fan of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team and had a great talent for cooking. You could always find him in the shop with his father ‘Poppy Leif’ both working hard but still finding time for dinner with their loving mother/wife (Amelda J. Ahle).
Even though Da loved being home in Cape Breton with family and friends, which he loved so very much, he decided to move to Toronto to better himself. He wasn’t always home in Cape Breton, though he wished, he was always only a phone call away. He was always there for us when we needed words of wisdom, advice, or even just to listen.
He was survived by his two loving daughters, Leslie Allison and Jenny Corrine (Matthew). His fiancé, Dianne and her daughter Elizabeth Jamieson. His sisters, Pauline, Chrissy (Keith) and Corrine. His brother Terry (Heather). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Amelda J., his brother, Rickie and his sister, Debbie.
Visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, Florence, with Fr. Thomas John officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
“It’s not the years in life that count,
It’s the life you lived through those yearsâ€.
“Always in our hearts Dadâ€
