Born in Millertown, Newfoundland and Labrador, on June 24, 1920, with her formative years spent in Deer Lake, passed away at the Lakeridge Health System, 1 Hospital Court, Oshawa, Ontario, on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the age of 90 years. Mother was predeceased by her husband Stanley Nichols on June 11, 1996; brothers-in-law: Sandy Manuel and Harvey Caines, and sister-in-law Mona Campbell. A dear mother and mother-in-law of Timothy (Valerie) of Oshawa, Ontario; Karen (Carmen Marinelli) of Maple, Ontario; Stephen (Margaret) of Ancaster, Ontario; Murray (Ann) of Whitehorse, Yukon. Loving grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother of 18. Dear sister to Hazel Manuel, Scott Campbell (Daisy), Daisy Laramore (Tom), Roy Campbell, Renee Caines, Shirley Luther (Eric), Kenneth Campbell Jr.; sister-in-law to May Harvey and Amelia Nichols. The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Saturday, June 4, 2011, from the hours of 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the Salvation Army Church in Deer Lake on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at 3 p.m. with Majors Wayne and Betty Ann Pike officiating with the burial to follow at the Nicholsville Cemetery in Deer Lake. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Deer Lake Salvation Army Church Organ Fund and/or to the Nicholsville Cemetery Fund in Mother’s memory would be graciously accepted by the family.
