It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kathleen Lucy Wells announce her passing on Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her husband Eugene (Ted); her children: Hughie, Sandra (Kevin), Roddie (Darlene), all of Surrey, British Columbia; Shawn (Lisa) of St. Anthony, Michele of Deer Lake, Sherry (Tammy) of St. John’s and Shannon (Amanda) of Labrador City. Kathleen also leaves to mourn her beloved grandchildren: Stephen, Kaila, Taylor, Christina, Jae, Sara, Jordan, and Amber; her siblings: Grace Anderson of the United States, Wesley (Shirley) Parsons of Hampden, Norma Senior of St. Anthony, Joyce Lutz of Nova Scotia, Edith (Danny) McInnis of Florida, Hughie Parsons of Labrador and Jessie Collins of Grand Falls as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents John and Elizabeth Parsons, sisters Madelyn (Norman) Dove, Vivian Joy Parsons, Evelyn Dawe, Irene Cooper, Marjorie Woolridge, brother Willis (Uilah) Parsons and brother-in-law Ray Collins. Visitation will take place at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, today, Saturday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church with Rev.
