COMEAU, EDGAR J. - Edgar J. Comeau, 87, of Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Mapleton Road and Camden Court, Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, June 3, 2011. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Ralphael Comeau and Annie Godin. Edgar retired as a Supervisor at CNR (Purchasing Dept.) with 44 years service. He attended Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the CNR Supervisor’s Association and the CNR Pensioners Association. Edgar will be sadly missed by his daughters, Dorilla Roy (Guillaume) of Moncton and Janice Rushton Stratton (David) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Christine (Trevor), Jeffery (Shelley), Cindy (Denis), Fraser, Tania (Mike) and Matthew; great grandchildren, Michell, Isaac, Jack, Matthew, Bradley, Kiersten, Eliza, Izaac; sister, Doris Komsky of Toronto; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Melida (Comeau) Comeau (March 2001); brother, Gerald; half sister, Priscilla Gauvin and half brothers, Gordon and Leonard Godin.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday June 6, 2011, 1:30 pm, Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
