It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the family of Caroline McNeil, announce her sudden passing at home on Wednesday June 1, 2011.
Born in Glace Bay, Caroline was the daughter of the late Reginald and Mary (MacAdam) McNeil. She was a member of St. Joseph's parish in Reserve Mines. At the time of her death, Caroline was employed at Stream in Glace Bay. She enjoyed working with computers and refurbishing them for the less fortunate. She loved to spend time with her dogs and talking on the phone for hours with family.
Caroline is survived by her companion and life long friend, Bobby Frison; loving son, Robert; sister, Cheryl McNeil (Doug) of Kitchener, Ont.; brothers, Reggie of Reserve Mines, Kerry (Tara) of Glace Bay and several nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her cousin and best friend, Tossie Saccary of Dominion, who she loved like a sister.
Besides her parents, Caroline was predeceased by a sister, Caroline Elizabeth.
Visitation will be held at Curry's Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday June 5, 2011. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday June 6, 2011 in St. Joseph's Church, Reserve Mines with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
