Margaret Mary "Marg" Tiller (Morrison)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marg Tiller, age 89, of Maple Hill Manor, New Waterford, formerly, Lisgard Street, Sydney, on Friday, March 29, 2019.
Marg was a beautiful and special mother who was loved by her children. She was full of life and loved baking, sewing, knitting, playing cards and bowling.
Born in Sydney, Marg was predeceased by her parents, Ewen and Lydia (Cameron) Morrison; her loving husband of 43 years, George Llewellyn Tiller (1991); daughter, Diane Marie MacNeil (2013); son-in-law, Fraser MacKillop (2013); brothers, Ewen, Roy, Melvin and Edward; sisters, Emily and Evelyn; and her good friend, Millie MacMillan.
She is survived by her children, Ann MacKillop, Linda (Brian) Burke, Georgina (Mike) Hamel, Robbie (Linda), Donnie (Cindy) and Tim (Cathy); son-in-law, Ron MacNeil; sister, Mae MacLean; sister-in-law, Claire Morrison. Marg is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 26 plus great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staff of Maple Hill Manor who took great care of mom for the last few years.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel, 49 Welton Street, Sydney on Friday, April 5 from 1-2 p.m., followed by a service in the chapel at 2 p.m., with Rev. Stephen Mills officiating.
Memorials in Marg’s name may be made to Maple Hill Manor.
