Passed peacefully away on September 1, 2009, age 93 years. Predeceased by her husband, Gordon, in 1956. Left with fond and loving memories are her daughters Elizabeth Moffatt (Doug) of Ottawa and Margaret Coombes (Joe) of Mount Pearl; beloved grandchildren Adam and Colin Coombes and Anne Moffatt, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of 4 West, St. Clare’s Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre for their compassionate care and to the staff of Ruby Manor for the loving care provided during the past year. Visitation at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, September 2nd from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, September 3rd from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 4 at 2 p.m. from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
