Lieu de décès : Smelt Brook, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Date de décès : 4 mai 2011
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of a truly wonderful man, Joseph Rambeau on Saturday, June 4, 2011, in Smelt Brook, N.S.
Born in Smelt Brook, Joseph was the son of the late George and Alice (Theriault) Rambeau.
He was a hard working man, who aside from driving a school bus for 28 years, made a living on the water. If he wasn’t on it, he was thinking about it one way or another.
Joseph was a “jack of all trades” who took great love in trying to solve everyone’s problems. He was a man who lived everyday doing something for his family and friends.
No words can describe what a wonderful and loving husband he was to his wife, Anne (Dixon); and father to his sons, Andy (Gloria) and Joey (Tena) of Smelt Brook, Alan (Gloria) South Harbour; as well as daughters, Joanne (Eddy Fitzgerald) and Andrea (George Fitzgerald), Cape North. Joseph loved his 17 grandchildren dearly and always tried to cherish every moment he had with them. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Susan (Douglas) Briand, Smelt Brook; brothers William, Smelt Brook and Frankie (MaryAnne) of Eastern Passage; goddaughter, Janice Hayden; daughter-in-law; Kimberly Cameron; and his many special nieces and nephews.
Joseph was predeceased by brothers, Francis, Stephen, Peter, sister, Margaret, as well as sister-in-law, Delphina Rambeau and brother-in-law, George Fitzgerald.
Visitation for Joseph Rambeau was held Monday, June 6 in St Joseph’s Church, Dingwall, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The family invites all to come and celebrate Joe’s life today (Tuesday) at 2:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, with Fr. Dan MacDonald officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.
