GREENE, Elizabeth Mary (Hanlon)– Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, age 90. Predeceased by daughter Blanche O’Brien, 1989. Leaving to mourn their loss and give thanks for her long life are devoted daughter and best friend, Mary Hearn (Ed) St. John’s, daughter Alice Ochoa (George) California and son Albert (Cavell) St. John’s. She also leaves behind one sister Kathleen Williams, St. John’s; grandchildren: Debbie (John Shepherd) California, Donna (Pete Boss) California, Diane (Mark Poncinie) Ohio, Sean O’Brien (Susan) Mt. Pearl, George O’Brien (Heather) Mt. Pearl, Robert Hearn (Heidi) Manuels and Matthew and Marcus Greene, St. John’s; also 13 great-grandchildren, many friends and staff at St. Patrick\'s Home. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the SPCA or the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation.
