SLUCHINSKI - Stephanie “Stella” 1922 – 2011 Mom passed away peacefully at Pineview Terrace Lodge on June 2, 2011. Stella is survived by: her son: Bob (Barb) Sluchinski and granddaughter, Lori (Derrick) Gagnon and great grandsons, Tyson and Boston; and grandson, Greg; her daughter: Elise Lawrence (Randie) and granddaughters, Amber Lawrence (Jonathan) and Launa (Dustin) Hicke; her daughter: Donna (Rob Saggs) and granddaughter, Sheena; her granddaughters: Betty (Tweet) Chris and great granddaughter, Shané, Elaine Sluchinski (Zolton) and Linda Sluchinski; foster son: Terry Chitenia (Jennifer)’ her sisters: Mary Sielski, Helen Jopko, Kay McClusky and Verna Haliuk all of Ontario. Stella was predeceased by: her husband: Joe in 1985; her son: Gordon; parents: Peter and Ann Danchuk; and brothers: Tom, Joe and Mike. She was born and raised in the Vonda area. Stella and Joe were married in 1942 and moved to the Strong Pine area where they farmed until moving to Prince Albert in 1968. Mom loved to bake and cook for her family and friends. There was always a houseful on special occasions. Stella resided at Pineview Terrace for the last six years. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Prince Albert, SK. Interment to follow in South Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the caring staff and caregivers at Pineview for the excellent care they gave Mom and the Emergency Room Staff at Victoria Hospital for their assistance.
