Passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on Sunday, May 29th, 2011, Mabel Handrigan of Grand Bank, age 96 years. Predeceased by husband Clarence, son Lloyd and sister Janet Penwell. Leaving to mourn: son Clayton(June) of CBS Manuels, daughter Eileen(Arch) Evans of Grand Bank, daughter-in-law Rachel, Portugal Cove-St. Phillips. 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, brother Howard(Thornhill)Sylvia of St. John's. Also a circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Lewis E. Crewe from Grand Bank United Church, at 2pm, on Wednesday, June 1st. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank. Organist was Betty Rogers. Pall Bearers were: Jill Howlett, Marcus Evans, Kurt Handrigan, Susan Handrigan, Nancy Handrigan, Shelly Cormier, Ruth Evans and Dan Piccolo. Donations in her memory may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Grand Bank.
