WALKER, ALDA M. - Alda M. Walker, 74, of Berry Mills and formerly of Riverglade, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Born in Irishtown, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude (Donovan) and Valentine Girouard. Alda was a former employee of Sears Canada (Hardware Dept.) and attended St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her four legged friend, “Beau”. Alda will be sadly missed by her children, Daniel E. Walker (Ellen Taylor) of Pepperell, Mass., Stephen J. Walker (Donna) of LaSalle, ON, Kimberly A. Walker (René LeBlanc) of Moncton and Karen M. Steeves (Victor) of Berry Mills, with whom she resided; precious granddaughters, Amanda Steeves, Holly Steeves and Jocelyn Walker; sisters, Betty Cail (Jim) of Moncton and Phyllis Dowell of Ottawa, ON; brother, Gary Girouard (Delina) of Irishtown; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Cyril E. Walker (January 22, 2008).
