NEW GLASGOW – Dylan Edwin Walsh, infant son of Peter and Nicole Walsh, New Glasgow, NS, passed away peacefully in the arms of his parents on May 30, 2011 at the IWK Health Centre, Halifax.
Dylan was born in New Glasgow on May 14, 2011 and is survived by maternal grandparents, Larry and Susan Morrison, New Glasgow; paternal grandparents, Barrie and Alice Walsh, Halifax; maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Wilson; paternal great-grandfather, Vaughn Walsh; aunt, Lisa Morrison (Nic Taylor); uncles, Brian (Brittany) Morrison; Matt (Christine) Walsh; cousins: Elijah, Joseph, Sarah and Oliver.
He was predeceased by his maternal great-grandfather, Edwin Wilson; paternal great-grandmother, Viola Walsh.
A private family committal service will be held on Thursday.
Donations in Dylan’s memory may be made to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, IWK Health Centre.
Though Dylan’s time was short with us, he remained very strong throughout his time at the IWK. He had many visitors, both family and friends, and his parents were by his side each day cherishing every moment. As a testament to his many visitors, Dylan was loved by all and we thank everyone for their prayers and support. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses of the NICU for their compassion and care.
